Crocker High AU history
Calliope and Caliborn were cherub'd into existence and left at an institution specializing in stupid babies. To their names, their predecessors bequeathed to them a generous inheritance comprised of several bonds and accounts to keep them properly clothed, fed, and educated. Upon reaching predomination of the body, the winning cherub will receive full access to the accounts and assets left to them. Until then, their finances are controlled by the institution's board and doled out as needed.
Calliope was always a good girl, sweet and polite to everyone, and very inquisitive. The institution was very strict, and though she was never particularly fond of the rules they laid out for her and her brother to follow, she obeyed their spirit and letter as best as she was able to.
When Caliborn eventually grew too unruly for the staff to deal with, the board decided to ship the cherubs off to Crocker High so that they could be among children their own age and also someone else's problem. Calliope went along with it with full and admirable tolerance. Sharing a body with Caliborn means you learn how to be very, very patient.
Though she is very smart and very bookish, she spends an inordinate amount of time in fandom pursuits, including writing and drawing fics and fanart. She makes A's very easily despite not having to apply herself too hard to studying. She spent as much time as she could online, chatting with others whom she encountered on various fan sites and whatnot. Even now that she's in school, Calliope spends a lot of time on IMs and the school BBS. She tries to be helpful because she's desperate to make friends and have them think well of her, but she's also just generally a huge sweetie anyway.
Her main and primary interests are centered around troll culture, but like any good modern day kid, she's also exposed to other cultures as well. It's just that TROLLS ARE THE BEST AND THEIR MEDIA IS FLAWLESS AND SHE WISHES SHE COULD BE ONE because wow how could would it be to grow up with all that exciting romance and drama and blood castes?? Exotic, tbh. She will make googly eyes at any trolls she encounters at school and it will be embarrassing as hell.
She has her own laptop, which is very much troll-themed because she loves troll culture no matter what universe this is because wow. Her life is troll cultural appropriation and it is rly embarrassing to everyone.
